What type of vehicles do you accept
for donation?
We accept most vehicles and vessels
including, but not limited to cars, trucks,
motorcycles, mopeds, motorboats,
sailboats and jet skis.

What paperwork do I need to donate
my car?
We would like the Certificate of Title and
most recent registration and safety check.
If you do not have one or more of these
papers please call us anyway. It is often
possible to make arrangements to get
duplicates for you. Vehicle manuals,
repair books and service records are always
appreciated.

Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes, vehicle and vessel donations made to
bona fide charitable organizations are tax-
deductible to the full extent of the law.
However, individual tax situations vary so
please check with a tax professional to
determine what if any tax benefit you may
receive from a tax-deductible donation.

How does my tax deduction work?
The IRS allows you to claim a tax deduction
of:
a) the value of the vehicle up to $500.00 or
b) if the vehicle is sold for more than
$500.00 you may claim the full sale price.
You will receive a thank you and
acknowledgement letter from the charity once
the vehicle is sold and it will include the
sale price of the vehicle.

My vehicle is not currently
running, can I still donate it?
Yes, we are able to accept most vehicles
running or not. Exceptions might include
older vehicles whose value after towing and
repair would not bring a benefit to the
charity. To find out if we can accept
your vehicle, please complete and submit our
Vehicle Donation Form or call us during
business hours at (808) 834-6603.

Can arrangements be made for my
vehicle to be picked up?
Yes, we can arrange to have your vehicle
picked up by a professionally licensed and
insured towing company.
Once we have determined that we can accept
your vehicle as a donation we will
coordinate an appointment with you and the
tow driver. At your convenience the
tow driver will meet you at your vehicle. He
will give you your donation packet and you
will give him the Certificate of Title and
other vehicle paperwork.

How long will it take to pick up my
vehicle?
We can usually arrange to have your vehicle
picked up within 48 hours.

Do you accept vehicles for donation
from the neighbor islands?
Yes! However, the vehicle has to be
drivable. We will make all the
shipping arrangements for you and get a
booking number. You just need to take the
vehicle to
Young Brothers on the
pre-arranged date, sending it to us C.O.D.
There is no cost to you.
All the paperwork will be handled through
the mail and/or via fax or email.
